Patan (Lalitpur), March 27: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the efforts were on to forward the entire society ahead and spur national developments.
Addressing the inaugural session of the Eighth International Women’s Trade Fair begun in Lalitpur today, PM Oli expressed commitment to forward developments in the country without getting entangled in obstruction. The Fair is organized by the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Association of Nepal.

“A group is involving to push the country back. Ninety-seven per cent people have now access to electricity service. We have been carrying out activities to increase power production”, PM shared.
Expressing happiness over the young generation’s enthusiasm and excellence in information technology, the PM viewed, “This is the era of computer and AI technology. Women have done much. Today’s fair is especially of mothers and now the daughter-generation should pay attention for entrepreneurship. I want to thank for the initiatives of sisters.”

He further said the country could not be developed as long as the women are left behind.
Opposition raising nonissue in parliament Speaking on the recent political development, PM Oli blamed the opposition parties were obstructing parliament over unnecessary issue.

A nonissue- removal of a government employee- was surfaced in the parliament, he said, adding that government was preparing to pass the ordinances with replacement bills. But, such obstruction would hamper the parliament schedule, PM expressed worry.

“When the competent person was given leadership role in the same institution, it was not praised. But, those who do not deserve it were given unnecessary praise,” he said, viewing that attempts were being made to create terror in the name of protest.

PM Oli further said there will have rallies at two places in the Kathmandu Valley. “There is no point in making hill out of mole in connection with the opposition’s demonstration,” he reminded.

Nepal’s development was realized with the struggle and sacrifice of women as well, Oli observed. The development slowed during panchayat has been accelerated at present with democracy in place, he shared.
According to him, the projects of strategic importance were forwarded, so it was not good to be panicked.
On the occasion, the Head of the government honoured Chairperson of Maiti Nepal, Anuradha Koirala, for her activism against human trafficking, and Prem Kumari Pun of Ghorahi, Dang for her contribution in the sector of enterprises.

President of the Federation, Shova Gyawali, shared the information that district association under the Federation was formed in 72 districts. She added the Federation has been advocating for women entrepreneurship, their concerns and challenges.
