Sunsari : Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary has said the party practices politics of patience and responsibility, guided by the principle of inclusion.
Addressing the first convention of the Nepal Tamang Association, Koshi Province on Friday, the NC leader said, “Impulsive and prohibitive politics is never the preference of our party.” He underscored that no one should incite division in society based on religion or ethnicity for personal or political gain. Instead, promotion of communal harmony and goodwill are imperative.
“NC stands for moderate and progressive politics. Our focus is on strengthening citizens’ rights, implementing inclusive policies, promoting civic awareness, and encouraging self-correction,” he stated, adding that any amendment to the Constitution would be based on broader political consensus. He clarified that constitutional amendment would not curtail anyone’s rights but strengthens civic rights and freedoms.
The NC lawmaker also pledged support to the development of the Tamang community, reiterating that the party is inclusive of all castes, religions, languages and communities.
