Gandaki, Sept 15: Considering the approaching festivals, fair price shops have been opened in Pokhara from today.
Chief of Food Management and Trade Company, Gandaki Province Office, Pokhara, Kaushal Ghimire, shared that the fair price shops would be run till October 27, targeting the upcoming festivals—Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.
The shops would be open at Province Office, Birauta of Pokhara from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
At these shops, one can buy steam jeera masino rice at Rs 83 per kg, aruwa sona mansuli rice at Rs 59 per kg, steam jeera masino rice (FR) at Rs 85 per kg, aruwa sona mansuli rice (FR) at Rs 59 per kg, sugar at Rs 95 per kg, jetho budho rice at Rs 245 per kg, according to the office. These varieties of rice would be provided at a discount of Rs 5 per kg.
Similarly, a discount of Rs 10 would be provided on aruwa basmati rice, jumli marsi rice as well as other food grains.
