Kathmandu, Oct 9: The weather today will remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas and mainly fair in rest of the country. There is a possibility of light rain in one or two places of the hilly areas of the country, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Meteorological analysis by the Division states that westerly winds are affecting many places in the western part of Lumbini, Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and a few places in western Gandaki Province, while the effect of monsoon winds and local winds is becoming weak.

Tonight, the weather will continue to remain partly cloudy in Koshi province and mainly fair in rest of the country. There is a possibility of light rain in one or two places of the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.
