Triveni (Nawalparasi), Dec 4: The physical progress of the Narayanghat-Butwal four-lane road has achieved 76 per cent physical progress so far in the 65-kilometre stretch, according to the Narayanghat-Butwal Road Project (Eastern Section) Office.

Information Officer of the Project, Shiva Khanal, said that the construction of the road section has gained momentum in recent months with a plan to complete the project in the given timeline. Recently, the road project has received its deadline extended for the fourth time.

As per the recent extended deadline, the project should complete the construction works by the end of this fiscal year. Khanal stated that the officials are working tirelessly in all areas of the road section.

He said that blacktopping of Jayashree bridge in Gaindakot, Arunkhola bridge, Dumkibas bridge and Chormara bridge remains incomplete while blacktopping in other sites is over in the eastern section from Gaindakot to Daunne. Blacktopping is currently being carried out at a rapid pace in other areas as well, it is said. The bridges are not yet operational for vehicles as the connecting link roads remain incomplete.

Likewise, culvert construction in the Daunne area has reached the final phase and it will be completed within four and a half months.
