Kathmandu, Dec 11: Lumbini Lions will face Biratnagar Kings today in Qualifier 2 of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) to decide the second finalist of the Twenty20 tournament.
The day-night match is scheduled to start at 4:00 PM at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The match will decide the second finalist of the second season of the NPL, as Sudurpaschim Royals has already qualified for the final.
Biratnagar has got a second opportunity to book a place in the final after losing to Sudurpaschim in Qualifier 1. Also finalist of the first season, Sudurpaschim trounced Biratnagar by 77 runs in the first qualifier.
Meanwhile, Lumbini reached the second qualifier by defeating Kathmandu Gorkhas by 4 wickets in the eliminator match held on Thursday.
It may be noted that during the league stage, Lumbini had defeated Biratnagar by 5 wickets.The final match is scheduled to be played at the same venue on December 13.
