Patan (Lalitpur), Dec 25: The meeting of the Central Working Committee of the Nepali Congress will resume today

.According to the party’s Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, in today’s CWC meeting, Vice President Dhanaraj Gurung, General Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma, Joint General Secretaries Farmullah Mansur, Umakanta Chaudhary, Mahalaxmi Upadhyay ‘Dina’, Bhishma Raj Angdambe and Mahendra Yadav, Treasurer Umesh Shrestha and members Bimalendra Nidhi, Bijay Kumar Gachhadar, Arjun Narsingh KC, Spokespersons Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Bal Bahadur KC and Gyanendra Bahadur Karki expressed their views. The meeting is underway since Wednesday.

Speaking to the media following the meeting, General Secretary Sharma said that the work of active membership should be completed in the next 16 days. “We are currently focused on the general convention. But the government should create an environment conducive for it. It is appropriate to hold the elections in Baisakh rather than Falgun,” he said.

General Secretary Sharma said that we should all accept the party’s institutional decision and the date of the general convention may be changed for a few days.
Meanwhile, Party spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said that it would be appropriate to keep the party’s issues in the party meeting rather than making them public in an exaggerated manner.

The meeting of the Nepali Congress Central Working Committee was held today at the central office, Sanepa, under the chair of acting president Purna Bahadur Khadka.
