Kathmandu, March 6: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is leading the initial vote tallies in various constituencies in Kathmandu.
In Kathmandu-6, RSP candidate Shishir Khanal is leading with 4,292 votes, according to Election Officer Chapala Pokhrel. Similarly, Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Krishna Baniya has secured 1,180 votes, and CPN (UML) candidate Aman Kumar Maskey has obtained 1,086 votes.
In Kathmandu-7, RSP candidate Ganesh Parajuli is leading with 4,677 votes, said Election Officer Sabita Sharma. CPN (UML) candidate Prakash Shrestha has garnered 904 votes, while Pramodhari Guragain from the Nepali Congress has received 720 votes.
Preliminary tallies from Kathmandu-8 show that Biraj Bhakta Shrestha of RSP continues to lead with 7,617 votes, while Suman Sayami from the Nepali Communist Party has secured 938 votes. Sapana Rajbhandari of Nepali Congress has obtained 893 votes, according to Election Officer Samjhana Khanal.
In Kathmandu-10, RSP candidate Pradip Bista is leading with 5,765 votes, while Himal Karki of the Nepali Congress has secured 1,078 votes, said Election Officer Amrita Kumari Sharma. Balaram Thapa of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has obtained 953 votes
