KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Helicopter operator Simrik Air has procured a Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopter.
The Simrik Air team in Singapore has signed an acceptance letter to bring one unit of the Bell 505 model (serial number 65430) for the first time ever to Nepal, having tested its capabilities in the mountainous terrain of the region in 2019.
With its performance and safety assurance during demonstration flights, the company had decided to purchase the helicopter back then.
It placed an order for two units for private and corporate charters with Bell in February 2020, but delivery was delayed due to the COVID pandemic.
The addition of this four-seat aircraft to its fleet means Simrik will be able to provide more efficient service in terms of medical evacuation, search, and rescue, survey, adventure, training, public safety, and corporate and chartered operations.
Simrik Air, a pioneer in the Nepali aviation industry, has been adding the finest and brand-new machines to its fleet to meet its safety commitments.
