Kathmandu, Sept 12: Nepal is taking on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today in the final match of the ongoing ACC Premier One-Day Cricket Tournament of the third edition.
The final match between Nepal and the UAE will begin at 7:15 am at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Both teams are aiming to win the ACC Premier Cup trophy for the second time.
Nepal won the first edition in 2023 by beating UAE by seven wickets.
UAE, on the other hand, secured the trophy in 2024 by defeating the hosts Oman.
This time, the winner of the trophy will also secure a spot in the Asia Cup, making the final important for both teams.
In the ongoing tournament, Nepal has played five matches, winning four and losing one through the group stages and semifinals. UAE reached the final undefeated.
So far, Nepal and UAE have played 19 matches in One Day Internationals. Nepal has won 11 matches and UAE eight.
In the last five matches, Nepal has won three. The last time Nepal faced UAE was in the ICC World Cup League-2 in May, where Nepal won both matches.
