KATHMANDU: An Australian man aged in his 60s has died while hiking in Nepal.
He was trekking to Tumlingtar in the Sankhuwasabha district after departing Lukla when he fell ill on Monday, 9 News reported.
He is believed to have been hiking to Tumlingtar in the Sankhuwasabha district.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australia confirmed authorities are providing assistance to the man’s family.
“We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends,” a spokesperson told 9news.com.au.
“Owing to our privacy obligations, we are unable to provide further comment.”
