Kathmandu: The amount in arrears of the government has reached 959.79 billion rupees in the last fiscal year.
According to the annual report unveiled by the Office of the Auditor General today, a total of 119.77 billion rupees in arrears were added combinedly from all three levels of government during the fiscal year 2078/79 BS.
While making the report public during a press conference, Auditor General Tankamani Sharma said the largest volume of arrears was found in the Finance Ministry. The Finance Ministry has 32.46 billion rupees in arrears.
