KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Constitutional Council held at the Prime Minister’s Office, Singha Durbar on Tuesday morning could not agree on recommending the name of the Chief Justice.
The meeting participated by top leaders, including the Prime Minister, and leader of the main opposition party, among others remained inconclusive due to the lack of consensus among the leaders.
Besides Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the meeting was attended by the leader of the main opposition party KP Oli, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka.
It is not clear when the next round of meeting will take place.
