KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has been elected as Member of the House of Representatives from Chitwan-2.
Lamichhane won by garnering 54,276 votes. Likewise, Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Jitnarayan Shrestha, who is the common candidate of the ruling coalition, garnered 11,114 votes.
This is Lamichhane’s second win from this constituency. Earlier, he was elected from this constituency by getting 49,300 votes in the general elections held on November 20 last year. Meanwhile, CPN-UML’s Ram Prasad Neupane got 10,936 votes in the election held on Sunday.
