Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that NC should be corrected to transform the country. Addressing the first Kathmandu Conference organized by NC Dolakha-Kathmandu Liaison Committee in the Capital City on Saturday, Thapa said that he was working for the campaign to correct his party.
Thapa was of the view that the established political parties have plunged into crisis due to repetition of an individual for the premiership from the parties and this trend should be altered as people have sought newness. He argued that there is no country in a democracy electing an individual for the post of the prime minister repeatedly.
On the occasion, Thapa stated that he was ready to quit the post of party general secretary to transform the NC. He urged the NC supporters to unite in the campaign to mend the NC adding that the country will transform only if the NC was corrected.
