KATHMANDU: Nepali Hindus are observing Fulpati as part of the Dashain festival today.
Fulpati is an assortment of flowers, leaves and fruits of different plants that are considered auspicious.
The Fulpati is taken into the homes as per tradition.
As per the tradition, Fulpati is brought to Kathmandu and anointed at the Dashain Ghar, Hanumandhoka Durbar as per the Vedic rites.
The Gurujyuko platoon, officials of the Nepal Army, the Nepal police, and Armed Police, the Asha Gurja team, officials of the civil service, band music, Panchebaja, and a procession leave for Hanuman Dhoka from Jamal with the Fulpati today.
All government, as well as private offices, remain closed from the day of Fulpati in the country.
