Actor Anmol KC has been arrested on the charge of criminal betrayal. Senior Superintendent of Police Somendra Singh Rathore at Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office of Nepal Police said that KC was arrested from Sanga in Bhaktapur on Friday after an arrest warrant was issued by the court for criminal betrayal.
Rathore said that KC was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed against KC, who took Rs 1 million advance to act in the movie ‘Ravayana’ but refused to sign the contract and did not come for shooting of the movie.
KC was arrested after he did not turn up following police request for a mediation. Along with KC, it has been found that other actors of the movie took a total of more than 10 million rupees from the producers. Further investigation is underway, police said.
