KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the Prime Minister, has said that the ruling coalition was forged to protect the constitution.
Addressing an election assembly in Dadeldhura, he said the leaders of the ruling coalition unanimously elected him the Prime Minister to defend the constitution when the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli dissolved the House of Representatives.
He said that the incumbent coalition government can only safeguard the constitution.
“Therefore, the coalition must come out victorious in the election,” PM Deuba said.
Prime Minister Deuba also said that the government has held talks with the Indian prime minister for the construction of a bridge over the Mahakali River at Parigaun.
