Kathmandu, Jan 10: Alongside other vitamins, vitamin D is necessary to keep the body healthy. It strengthens the bones of the body. The main source of vitamin D is sunlight. But due to modern and busy lifestyles, vitamin D deficiency may take place. Different types of food can be consumed to prevent vitamin D deficiency.

–Milk is rich in calcium and vitamin D. Drinking milk regularly has many health benefits.

–Curd is a good source of vitamin D which is considered very good for bones. Since curd contains more water, it is also very easy to digest.

–Regular consumption of spinach provides essential protein and vitamin D.

–Regular consumption of soybean strengthens the bones as it contains protein, calcium, vitamin D, omega-3 fatty acid, iron, vitamin B, zinc, folate, selenium etc.

–Mushrooms are the best source of vitamin D. Its consumption is also very beneficial for human health.

–Egg is the main source of protein, vitamin D, calcium and many other minerals. Its consumption makes the bones strong.
