Kathmandu, Jan 23: The Nepali Army has organised a special exhibition of its photos and units in the premises of Army Headquarters, Jangi Adda, on the occasion of establishment day of the organisation.

Chief of Army Staff, Prabhu Ram Sharma, inaugurated the expo amidst a function today. Photos reflecting the activities of the Army from past to present, weapons and equipment have been kept in the display. The expo will run till five days.

One can get information about military uniform, band, horse riding, jungle and mountain warfare, special troop, national park and wildlife reserve and peace-keeping after visiting the expo.

Activities as well as audio visual of activities related to development construction run by NA, disaster management, sports and activities of military schools have also been incorporated in the expo.

Arrangement of free entry from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm till January 27 has been made in the expo organised with an objective of providing opportunity to general people to closely observe the military related various activities.

On the occasion, Spokesperson at the NA Directorate of Public Relations and Information, Krishna Prasad Bhandari, expressed the belief that the general people would get the information about military uniform, military equipment as well as activities of the NA from the expo.

Meanwhile, Ramban Company, Special Unit Brigade and Shreemehar Battalion secured first, second and third positions respectively in the photo competition organised by NA on the occasion.

Similarly, 17 number Brigade, Ranasher Battalion, Khadgadal Battalion, Bhawani Bax Battalion, Arjunban, Bhagawatidal Battalion and Sainik Awasiya Mahabidhyalaya, Pokhara, received consolation prize.

Similarly, Siddhartha Maharjan, Safal Prakash Shrestha and Barsha Shah received first, second and third prize in the competition towards non-military category.

Photo Journalist of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti got consolation prize in the competition. CoAS Sharma handed cash and certificate to the winners.
