Lalitpur, Feb 1: The Jhamsikhel Youth Club is organizing the 5th Jhamsikhel Street Festival on coming February 3. The festival is being organizing to maintain the vibrancy of Jhamsikhel’s tourism sector.
The festival is also part of the government’s ongoing efforts to promote domestic tourism, said Chairperson of Jhamsikhel Youth Club, Sandan Thapa Magar. The street festival is being organized once every four years.
It started in 2008 and was held in 2012, 2016, and 2019.
According to the organizers, the street festival will have many attractions including a Rock concert featuring Mukti and Revival, Anuprastha, Cobweb, and the new addition, Brothers N Band. Lok Dohori singers including Komal Oli and standup comedy performances by artists like Raja Rajendra, Purna Thapa, and Ravi Dangol are other attractions of the festival.
In addition, the streets of Jhamsikhel will have food, handicraft, and face painting stalls along with bingo and carnival games for children.
