Kathmandu, March 7: Ambassador of the United States of America to Nepal, Dean R. Thompson paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav.
During the meeting held today at the Office of the Vice President in Lainchour, matters relating to the bilateral relations between the two countries, development assistance, trade and areas of common interests and concern were discussed.
On the occasion, Vice President Yadav expressed his gratitude to the US government for the support provided to the socio-economic development endeavours and strengthening of democracy in Nepal.
US Ambassador Thomnson said that the US wants to build strong relations with Nepal and appreciated Nepal’s good leadership in the United Nations peacekeeping mission.
