Kathmandu, March 13: The U.S. Embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission Jason Meeks today attended the launch event of USAID Nepal’s Partnership for Poultry activity in Butwal, Lumbini Province.
The three-year $2 million USAID activity is expected to strengthen the poultry market system, and uplift the incomes of 7,000 small farmers and firms for inclusive, sustainable private sector-driven growth, it has been said.
According to USAID Nepal, its partnerships with the Government of Nepal, private sector, and cooperatives help build a resilient and sustainable agriculture industry in Nepal, and contribute to improved food security and nutrition for communities.
