Kathmandu, March 22: Nepal has hosted a Regional Development Officers meeting. Representatives from Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as well as from German Embassies in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Mongolia, and Uzbekistan attended the meeting. The gathering focused on an array of subjects, including regional matters, it has been said.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines, the delegation toured a few German-supported projects: namely the Load Dispatch Center, vital for managing Nepal’s electricity network, and Patan Hospital’s healthcare waste management system.
Similarly, they visited Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath and Swayambhunath Temple. Meanwhile, they have appreciated Nepal’s diverse unique culture, and natural beauty.
“These unique and rich heritage sites truly reflect the beauty and diversity of Nepal’s culture,” said Gisela Hammerschmidt, Director for Asia at BMZ Germany.
