Kathmandu, April 4: On the second day, the German delegation from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development visited the reconstructed Gorkha Hospital. The hospital has been reconstructed following the devastating earthquake with funds from the Government of Germany.
On the occasion, Hammerschmidt, the Development Director for Asia, also took the opportunity to discuss the Nepal Health Insurance Policy with Dr Gunraj Lohani, chair of the Health Insurance Board (HIB).
The German Government supports the Nepal’s Health Insurance Scheme, and Gorkha Hospital is among the leading medical facilities in implementing these policies and providing affordable treatments.
