Kathmandu, April 10: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has cautioned against enrolling students in colleges having affiliation of foreign educational institutions and operating without acquiring permission for the same.

Issuing a notice, the Ministry has made public a list of 49 education institutions that have acquired permission to run the Advanced Level, the International Baccalaureates and CBSE programmes or equivalent courses. It urged all concerned not to enroll students in these programmes in other educational institutions, except those mentioned in the list.

However, the International Education Providers of Nepal has stated that 89 educational institutions having affiliation of foreign academic programmes and boards are in operation in Nepal.

The Ministry has warned of action against the educational institutions running foreign courses and programmes without taking permission for the same.
