KATHMANDU: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has stated that an individual person who holds the post to comply with and protect the Constitution cannot go beyond the Constitutional limitations.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Vice President Pun urged one and all to abide by and protect the Constitution.
“The latest political developments in the country provide a space for raising public voices over the ‘failure’ of the Patron of the Constitution to comply with and protect the Constitution cautiously, and the creation of the situation to raise such voices is unfortunate,” he said.
VP Pun further stated that it is the duty of each person to comply with the Constitution.
He also urged one and all to do their part as per the Constitution, and follow and protect the country’s main law. Recalling the celebration of Constitution Day recently (September 19) in commemoration of the promulgation of the Constitution 2015 by the sovereign Constituent Assembly, he reminded all concerned about their constitutional duties and responsibilities.
