Kathmandu — The U.S. Embassy in Nepal has welcomed Megan Bouldin to Kathmandu, where she will serve as Chargé d’Affaires for the next few months and provide additional support to the Embassy’s ongoing response to the recent floods in Nepal.
Bouldin will work closely with Deputy Chief of Mission Scott Urbom to lead U.S. Embassy efforts supporting Nepal’s flood response and recovery, with a particular focus on assisting U.S. citizens affected by the disaster.
Bouldin arrives in Nepal from the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka, where she has served as Deputy Chief of Mission since August 2024. A career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service, she brings extensive experience in crisis management, diplomacy, and leadership.
Her previous assignments include positions in Ukraine, Iraq, Bangladesh, and the U.S. Department of State’s Operations Center in Washington.
Her arrival in Nepal comes as relief and recovery efforts continue following the devastating floods. The U.S. Embassy said her assignment reflects the United States’ sustained commitment to working closely with the Government of Nepal and its partners to support ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
