Kathmandu, Sept 24: Both houses of the Federal Parliament are convening today.
The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet at 11:00 am at Singhadurbar, with the agenda including the presentation of the ‘Free Legal Aid Bill, 2083’ by Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam.
Additionally, Minister for Infrastructure Development, Sunil Lamsal, will present a motion seeking consideration of the ‘Waste Management Bill, 2083’.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly is scheduled to meet at 1:15 pm where the concerned ministers are scheduled to respond to MP’s questions related to the Ministry of Health and Food Safety and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies.
On behalf of the Prime Minister, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle will present the Public Service Commission’s annual report for the fiscal year 2081/82.
Likewise, the Chairperson of the Development, Economic Affairs, and Good Governance Committee, Krishna Prasad Paudel, is scheduled to present the Annual Report of the Committee for the fiscal year 2082/83.
In addition, five different parliamentary committees are meeting today. According to the schedule, the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee; State Affairs and Good Governance Committee; Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee; Development, Economic Affairs, and Good Governance Committee; and the Parliamentary Hearing Committee are scheduled to meet.
