More than 450 climbers from 48 climbing groups have taken permission to climb the mountain this year. According to the tourism department, this season, climbers are coming to climb mountains including Everest (8,848.86 meters), Manaslu (8,163 meters) and Chuli. During this period, the maximum number of 394 climbers from 37 climbing groups have taken permission to climb Manaslu.

According to the Mountaineering Branch of the department, five climbers from a group have received permission to climb Mount Everest. Similarly, 34 climbers from four groups climbed Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), seven from two groups at Himlung (7,126 m), five from one group climbed Nupse (7,855 m) and five from one group climbed Saribung (6,346 m). Only one climber has taken permission.

In this season, five crores 32 lakh 27 thousand 592 thousand royalties have been collected so far from mountain climbing. A total of 454 climbers, including 110 women and 344 men from 60 countries, have come to Nepal to climb the mountain.

As in previous years, this year too, the attraction of climbers has been seen in conquering Manaslu. The highest number of climbers have come to climb Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain in the world and the seventh highest mountain in Nepal. Autumn is considered to be the best season for climbing Manaslu and every year a significant number of climbers come to climb Manaslu during autumn.

On May 9, 1956, Japanese citizen Tosio Imanisi and Nepali Galgen Norbu Sherpa successfully climbed the 8,163-meter high Manaslu. According to Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, Managing Director of Seven Summit Treks Pvt. Ltd., this season, climbers are flocking to climb Manaslu. According to him, Manaslu has always been a top attraction for climbers.
