KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress lawmaker Mukta Kumari Yadav has registered her nomination for the election of the House of Representatives (HoR) Deputy Speaker.
Her nomination registered on behalf of the opposition alliance is proposed by Badri Pandey of NC and backed by Sarbendra Nath Shukla of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party and Metmani Chaudhary of CPN (Unified Socialist).
The election of the Deputy Speaker will be taking place at 1:00 am of January 21 at the Federal Parliament Secretariat in accordance with the Rule 8 of the House of Representatives (HoR) Regulations, 2075 BS.
The Federal Parliament Secretariat has scheduled the time from 1:00 am to 4:00 pm today to file nominations for the election.
Earlier, Rastriya Swantantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Indira Rana Magar registered her nomination for the election on behalf of the ruling alliance. The final name list of candidates will be published today itself.
