Kathmandu, Aug 14: Australia’s Ambassador to Nepal, Felicity Volk, had a farewell meeting with Chairperson of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal today in Kathmandu.
The meeting between the duo discussed the benefits and close and growing people-to-people links between the two countries, and Australia’s development assistance programmes for Nepal.
The meeting also touched on the recent positive progress on the issue of the transactional justice and the need for ongoing cooperation and support for Nepal’s process, it has been said.
“I enjoyed a wide-ranging conversation during my farewell call on the Right Honourable Chairperson of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal. It has been an honour to serve as Ambassador at a time when the friendship between Australia and Nepal is flourishing and I thank Chairperson Dahal for his ongoing efforts to deepen the relationship,” said the ambassador Volk.
