Kathmandu, Aug 17: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has viewed the wise use of innovation and resources, cooperative efforts and mutual understanding help ensure the welfare of less developed, developing and developed countries. The collective actions also pave way for everyone’s bright future, he argued.

In his virtual address to the inaugural session of the 3rd Voice of Global South Summit (VOGSS) organized by the Indian government with the overarching theme of ‘An Empowered Global South for a Sustainable Future’ today, PM Oli viewed the multiple crises of food, energy and climate change have disproportionately affected the developing countries, thereby posing serious threats. These warrants collective efforts for address, he laid emphasis.

He observed that the event held by underpinning India’s philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and in line with Indian PM Narendra Modi’s vision was a relevant one. PM Oli expressed gratitude to his Indian counterpart for bringing forth the perspective of the Global South.

PM Oli was addressing the event attended by heads of 15 countries and governments from Global South.
