Panchthar, Aug 30: Two children were killed when an improvised exclusive device exploded in a house in Panchthar district on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place at the house of Aitaraj Kerung, a former Maoist cadre, in Dadagaun of Phrangbung at Phalelung Rural Municipality-5. One Gyan Bahadur Rai is currently renting the house of Kerung.
Local resident Dilip Sanwa’s 11-year-old son Dipsan and two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Prinsa died on the way to Jhapa for treatment, said the police. Panchthar Hospital referred the deceased to B&C Hospital in Jhapa.
Gyan Bahadur’s 10-year-old son Pawan, who was injured in the blast, was receiving treatment at Panchthar hospital, said police.
