Kathmandu – Bishwa Prakash Sharma, the General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, successfully summited Lobuche Peak (6,119 meters) on Friday morning alongside legendary mountaineer Mingma Sherpa, renowned as the first South Asian to conquer all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks.
Director of Seven Summit trek Mingma Sherpa, an icon in the mountaineering world, brought his extensive experience to the climb. Having achieved record-breaking feats, including summiting Everest multiple times and participating in daring high-altitude rescue missions, Mingma is celebrated for his resilience and dedication to safety and exploration. His participation in this expedition not only reaffirmed his personal accomplishments but also highlighted the technical allure of Lobuche Peak.
Joining him was Bishwa Prakash Sharma, a leading political figure in Nepal.
