Kathmandu: Dr Shekhar Koirala, a senior leader of the Nepali Congress, is set to address a special event at the Westminster Parliament in the United Kingdom on January 13, 2025. The event will take place within the iconic parliamentary building and will feature the presence of key British dignitaries.
The program will be attended by the UK’s Minister of State for Asia, Catherine West, along with Minister for Industry, Trade, and Commerce Gareth Thomas, and several British Members of Parliament.
According to Dr. Koirala’s personal secretary, Dinesh Chandra Thapaliya, the Nepali leader has been invited to the event by Catherine West and Gareth Thomas. Dr. Koirala is scheduled to depart for the UK on January 9 to participate in the event.
This engagement underscores the growing ties between Nepal and the UK and highlights Dr. Koirala’s role in fostering international cooperation.
