Gorkha, Jan 20: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that education is the main basis of development and prosperity of the country.
While inaugurating the Golden Jubilee and Parents’ Day celebrations of Shree Saraswati Secondary School at Ahale, Gorkha Municipality-8 today, Dahal who is also the former Prime Minister, emphasized that the development of the education sector should be the priority of the country.
“Education is the basis from which the development and prosperity of the country is possible. It can prepare the basis of discipline and stability as well. For that, the education bill, which has not been progressed for years to improve the education sector, has been passed by the Council of Ministers during my premiership for discussion in the House,” the Maoist Centre Chair said.
He stressed that the improvement of the educational sector is possible only by investing enough in the sector.
Leader Dahal said that the level of commitment taken by the state to advance the education sector will measure the level of civilization, development and good governance of the country. “We still have not stopped the work of making education the basis of business.”
