Chitwan, Feb 21: The Chitwan National Park (CNP) has installed the water boring system for wildlife’s easy access to water. The facility based in Bhimle is for wildlife inhabiting in dry areas, it is said.
With this, the number of boring facilities within the CNP has reached nine.
According to CNP’s information officer, Abinash Thapa Magar, two facilities are based on Gharial Breeding Centre, one at the Hattisar area, two at Bhimle, two at Kasara, one at Old Padampur, one at Dumariya and one at Sukhibhar.
The management of waters for wildlife is the priority of the CNP so that they need not to wander outside in search of water, it is said.
The installation cost of the facility is one million. Similarly, works are going on to conserve and clean water resources and ponds within the CNP.
Besides, two artificial ponds have been constructed here.
