Kathmandu — The French Embassy in Nepal welcomed French footballer Vincent Koziello, along with Kathmandu Rayzrs FC Head Coach Patrick De Wilde and Analyst Nicky Lynn Lelievre, ahead of the upcoming Nepal Super League (NSL) Season 3.
Koziello, a former OGC Nice midfielder with experience in top European leagues, is set to compete in Nepal’s premier football tournament, representing Kathmandu Rayzrs FC. During the visit, French Ambassador to Nepal, Virginie Corteval, extended her best wishes to Koziello and his team, underscoring France’s commitment to fostering international sports collaboration.
The meeting highlighted the growing sports exchanges between Nepal and France, particularly following Nepal’s participation in the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics.
Ambassador Corteval emphasized that sports continue to serve as a powerful medium for strengthening bilateral ties, promoting cultural exchange, and encouraging professional development for athletes.
With Koziello’s entry into the NSL, the partnership between the two nations in the realm of sports is expected to deepen further, contributing to Nepal’s evolving football landscape while reinforcing international cooperation through athletics.
