Minister for Home Affairs, Ramesh Lekhak, is also present in the meeting, informed Bhetuwal, adding that Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Poudel also briefly participated in the talks.

Federation President Laxmi Kishore Subedi is leading the Federation in the talks. Both the government and disgruntled teachers are deliberating on the demands of the protesting teachers.

The talks between the two held on last Monday had ended on a positive note which led to today’s talks, it was shared. Public school teachers have been taking to streets in Kathmandu since April 2 this year, demanding better pay and perks.
