Kathmandu, Sept 8: Fourteen demonstrators, who were injured in GenZ protest held in the Kathmandu Valley, died in course of treatment at different hospitals.
Similarly, more than 100 people injured in the protest are undergoing treatment at various health facilities.
Six demonstrators died in course of treatment at Trauma Centre while 25 injured ones are receiving treatment there. Of them, condition of five is critical.
According to Civil Service Hospital, three out of the injured people receiving treatment in the hospital, died. Out of 20 injured ones undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Medical College, one succumbed to injury.
Likewise, 34 injured demonstrators are receiving treatment at Everest Hospital, while three of them breathed their last. An injured person died in course of treatment at TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, where 16 injured are receiving treatment.
The Ministry of Health and Population has directed to make arrangement of free treatment to the injured ones.
Spokesperson at the Home Ministry, Ananda Kafle, shared the collection of the details on the loss occurred in the GenZ demonstration was underway.
