Kathmandu, Oct 29: The government of Germany has pledged to provide assistance materials worth Rs 6.39 million to provide relief and early recovery support to flood-hit communities in Ilam district.
According to the Embassy of Germany in Kathmandu, German Ambassador Udo Volz signed the grant agreement of 39,000 Euros with WHH Nepal – Welthungerhilfe for a project to provide immediate relief and early recovery support to disaster-affected communities, ensuring lifesaving assistance and enhancing resilience against future disasters.
Country Director Shakeb Nabi signed the agreement on behalf of Deutsche Welthungerhilfe. The Embassy stated that Germany remains committed to support the people of Nepal, also in difficult times.
