Kavre : Seven more people were arrested from Kavre district for their alleged involvement in looting, vandalism and arson during the Gen-Z protests of September 9.

The District Police Office, Kavre, said that those alleged were nabbed for their involvement in looting, vandalism and arson of different public and private property.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabin Bista said that the arrestees are Anish Sapkota, Suman KC, Sakar KC and Subash Tamang of Panauti Municipality, Samir Tamang and Hom Prasad Timalsina of Bethanthok Rural Municipality and Demasang Moktan of Mahabharat Rural Municipality.

The police stated that a search for other alleged involved in the unlawful activities in the protests is ongoing.

Prior to this, the Area Police Office in Banepa nabbed 11 persons for their alleged involvement in the looting, vandalism and arson during the Gen-Z protests and further investigations have been initiated against them.
