Kathmandu, March 8: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that the report received from the September 8 and 9 Incidents Investigation Commission will be put into implementation.

After receiving the report from Commission today, she said that she and the Home Minister will now study the report and present it in the Council of Ministers.
The Prime Minister said that the report would be studied and the implementation process would be taken forward. The report would be made public as warranted, she added.

PM Karki said, “We will also discuss over making the report public. If we cannot immediately make the entire document public after reviewing its details, we will at least make its conclusion public.”

She also expressed her belief that the report contains the actual situation and facts related to the incidents. The Prime Minister appreciated the meticulous job done by the chairman and members of the commission. Commission Chairman Gauri Bahadur Karki shared on the occasion that they worked honestly and reported in the report exactly what they saw without any prejudice.

He said that he also included suggestions in the report so that such incidents do not happen in the future. “This incident has occurred due to mismanagement. Regulatory bodies have been distorted. There is sluggishness everywhere, from the judiciary to the executive. It has been found that the tendency of power-sharing even in constitutional appointments among parties has increased public anger. If this report is implemented, the face of the country will change,” Karki said.

Commission member Bigyan Raj Sharma stated that this report is only for review, and now the body responsible for action must conduct an investigation, and it has provided a basis for investigation.

Another member, Bishweshwar Bhandari, said that if the matters mentioned in the report regarding what to do for good governance are implemented, the situation of the country could change significantly.
