Bhaktapur, April 2: This year’s Secondary Education Examination (SEE) has begun today.

Examination Controller at National Examination Board, Tuk Raj Adhikari said that this year’s SEE began from 8:00 am at 1,966 exam centres across the country including one centre in Japan.

A total of 512,421 students in Nepal and 23 students from an examination centre in Japan are appearing for this year’s SEE concluding on April 12.

Of the examinees—257,613 are female, 254,807 male and seven from others category. A total of 441,566 students are sitting for regular examination while 70,855 students for grade increment.

Province-wise, 82,487 students from Koshi Province, 90,243 students from Madhes Province, 109,513 students from Bagmati province, 43,972 students from Gandaki Province, 91,802 students from Lumbini Province, 39,769 students from Karnali Province and 54,635 students from Sudurpaschim Province are appearing for the SEE.

The first day features exam for the Compulsory English followed by Compulsory Nepali on April 3, Compulsory Mathematics on April 5, Science on April 6, Social Study on April 7, all subjects of optional (I) on April 8 and all subjects of optional (II) on April 9 as well as all subjects of technical stream from April 10-12.
