Kathmandu, June 21: President Ramchandra Paudel has made a call for everyone to embrace yoga as a way of life. On the 12th World Yoga Day today, he extended his warm wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity, and good health to all Nepali brothers and sisters, both at home and abroad, encouraging them to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.
He highlighted that yoga is a holistic practice that harmonizes the body, mind, and spirit, blending meditation, pranayama, and physical postures. President Paudel believes that yoga, meditation, and sadhana can help restore balance, alleviate stress, and cultivate positive energy.
In his message, he pointed out that various studies, research, and historical evidence affirm that Nepal is a land rich in yoga traditions. The President emphasized the need to further develop yoga by integrating it into national policies, educational systems, and public health initiatives. He is confident that regular yoga practice can enhance daily functioning, boost immunity, improve digestion, and foster positive thinking while unlocking inner energy.
The President also noted that yoga, which promotes unity, peace, and health on a global scale, is a vital part of the ancient Eastern knowledge and culture. He urged everyone to adopt yoga as a lifestyle to navigate the challenges of modern life, including stress, pollution, and competition.
He expressed his hope that World Yoga Day would inspire everyone to achieve physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being and happiness.
Similarly, Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has expressed has stated that regular yoga practice will help in physical health as well as mental peace, positive thinking and spiritual upliftment.
