Kathmandu, Aug 4: The effect of monsoon wind is continuous across the country today. The low pressure belt of monsoon is slightly north of its average range or near the Tarai region of Nepal.
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology shared information that it would be cloudy across the country today. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning in many places in the hilly region of the country, Moderate to heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning is predicted in some places of hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and hilly region and Terai region of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, the Department stated.
Light to moderate rainfall along with thunder and lightning is expected in most of the places of hilly region, according to the weather service.
Everyone is urged to remain cautious in the areas where there is a possibility of heavy rainfall, for it could cause flash floods, floods, landslides and soil erosion. Regular update on weather information from the Department is suggested.
