Sudurpaschim, Aug 14: Nepali Communist Party (NCP)’s Sudurpaschim Province Assembly parliamentary party leader, Khaga Raj Bhatta, has been appointed the Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province.
Sudurpaschim Province Chief Najir Miya appointed Bhatta to the post in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the Constitution. Bhatta has become the fifth Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province. With the change in power sharing equation, Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah had to resign from the post.
The Sudurpaschim PA now has 52 members, including 22 from the Nepali Communist Party, 11 from the CPN (UML), 18 from the Nepali Congress and one from Rastriya Prajatantra Party.
