Kathmandu, Aug 18: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled for 11:00am today.
Four ministers will be responding to the queries related to their ministries in the meeting.
Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment are furnishing responses to the lawmakers’ queries on the issues related to their ministries.
Similarly, on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, is to present the seventh annual report (fiscal year, 2081-82) of the Tharu Commission in the HoR meeting.
Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal is presenting a proposal, seeking consideration on the Passport (first amendment) Bill, 2083.
Minister for Law Gautam will be tabling a proposal, seeking consideration on Reconciliation (second amendment) Bill, 2083. She will also table an agreement relating to UN Agreement on Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction.
Various five parliamentary committees are also holding meetings later today. The committees to meet are- Agriculture and Natural Resource Committee, Infrastructure Development Committee, Legislation Management Committee, Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, and the Federalism Enablement and National Concern Committee.
