Kathmandu, Aug 19: Both houses of federal parliament are holding meetings today.
In the meeting of the House of Representatives, lower house of federal parliament, scheduled for 11:00am, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is presenting a proposal, seeking consideration on ‘Employees Provident Fund (tenth amendment) Bill, 2083’.
Minister for Youth, Labour and Employment, Ramji Yadav, will be tabling a proposal, seeking consideration on ‘Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Bill, 2083’.
Minister for Energy, Water Resource and Irrigation, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, will be tabling a ‘long term power trade agreement to be made between Nepal and India’, according to the parliament secretariat.
Similarly, the upper house of federal parliament, National Assembly, is meeting at 1:15pm. Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation are scheduled to furnish responses to the lawmakers’ queries relating to their ministries.
The line ministers will be responding to the questions on Finance Ministry and Ministry of Energy.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Khadak Raj Paudel, will be advancing a proposal that wants to send the ‘Bill on Liability of Domestic Aviation, 2083’ to the Legislation Management Committee for its clause-wise discussion.
